About me

I collaborated with Michael Seth Stewart, Gerson Ferracini, and Siân Valvis on a new translation of The Anthropophagist Manifesto by Oswald de Andrade, for Reconvexed. A gorgeous limited edition of 77 hand-bound copies with illustrations by Marcelo Cardoso Amato was produced in 2025.

I regularly contribute translations to Sumaúma, a project centering forest journalism, and scientific and Indigenous approaches to surviving global heating and environmental destruction. Sumaúma is based in based in Altamira, Brazil. One of my favorite articles is The Paraguay River versus the end of the world by Jaqueline Sordi.

I co-translated the short story Informal Abstraction by Adriana Lisboa, for which I shared the AAWP X UWRF 2024 Translators' Prize.

A group translation (under the mentorship of Alison Entrekin) of the poem I am in today as if on a horse by Ana Martins Marques won third place in the Stephen Spender Prize.

My translation of Flash of Dignity (Dignidade-relâmpago) by José Falero appeared in Fictionable, along with a podcast interview with Falero.

Previously, my work has appeared in Other Worlds.

I also translate academic papers for publication in English-language journals.
